Raw Food Classes: New Summer Schedule

June 28- Liquid Nourishment: Summer's Raw Soups: Beat the heat and lighten up your dinner routine with quick, easy and delicious soups. Learn yet another amazing way to turn even the most common vegetables into exquisitely tasty gourmet raw meals. We will learn an ancient Spanish soup; Andalusian Gazpacho Verde, a raw take on Carrot Ginger Soup, and  a delicously  creamy and refreshing Italian Zuppa di Zucchini.

July 12- Bare Raw Get ready for summer with low fat raw recipes. Learn four fast and easy Romaine wraps that turn low fat live food into scrumptiously filling meals. Enjoy the height of mango season with a Caribbean inspired lightly spicy mango chutney wrap, enjoy Mediterranean flavors with a tomato, cucumber and olive filling, get Mex with spicy avocado salsa, and fortify with minerals with a Japanese seaweed pocket.

July 19th-Summer Savings: Part 1: Peaches and Cream
Start off the summer right with a celebration of this year’s early peach harvest. Join Chef Rachel Carr as she teaches numerous was to incorporate stone fruits into your summer cuisine. Learn a light and refreshing Peach Granita, savory sweet Stone Fruit Salad with Honey Cumin Dressing, and a succulent Peach and Banana Parfait.

July 26th-Summer Savings: Part 2: Tomatoes and Zucchini
Make the most delicious dishes economical by focusing on the summer’s most prodigious produce from your garden or Farmer’s Market. We will focus this class on interesting ways to use tomatoes, zucchini, and fresh Herbs. In this class we will learn Gazpacho, Sweet Zucchini Almond Loaf, and a Saffron Pumpkin Seed Pesto Stuffed Zucchini Blossoms

August 2nd-Summer Savings: Part 3:The Harvest Continues
As the summer harvest continues we will find even more delicious ways to use tomatoes, zucchini and other abundant summer crops. Learn to make a deliciously filling Minestrone with all the summer crops, Zuchinni pasta ala Marinara, and Herbed Italian Zucchini Bread.

August 9th-Raw Detox Use the summer’s heat to your advantage. Lighten up with these detoxifying and health building juices. Learn juices that focus on specific health concerns.

August 16th-Abbundanza Italiana:
Being raw doesn’t mean you have to go without Italian. Learn how to translate Italian favorites into raw delights. Start the meal off with your primo piatto Coco Caprese, followed by a Treviso Bruschetta intermezzo and a Pasta alla spinachi for your secondi.

All classes are held between 10:30 am- noon on Saturday mornings.
